The world's largest cruise ship departs from Miami on its maiden voyage

The world's largest cruise ship has departed on its maiden voyage from Miami, Florida 

The 365-meter-long Icon of the Seas can accommodate up to 7,600 guests on its 20 decks

.The Royal Caribbean Group is the owner of the ship

The ship is sailing to the islands off the coast for seven days. Environmentalists, however, have alerted the public to the dangers of methane emissions from ships running on liquefied natural gas

.Compared to 1198 feet, the tragic Titanic was 882 feet longer


The 365-meter-long Icon of the Seas has 20 decks and a maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers.

The ship is owned by the Royal Caribbean Group.



The ship has embarked on a seven-day voyage to the islands off the coast. But environmentalists have warned that ships powered by liquefied natural gas will release harmful methane into the air.  The Icon of the Seas has been made in more than 7 years.
